Because each patient is unique, prices for the removal of a mole will range depending on its size, placement, number of spots, and complexity. How It’s Treated
Surgical Removal
Unwanted moles can be surgically removed in 3 ways:
- Shave excision is a process used for raised moles. Your doctor will apply an anesthetic to the mole and its surrounding area and use a sharp, small scalpel to shave the mole down until it is flush with the rest of the skin.
- The punch biopsy technique is used for smaller moles. It uses a unique device to carve and punch out a round piece of skin,
- Excisional surgery is used to remove moles that are flat or malignant. This is a procedure where your doctor cuts the mole out and stitches the wound closed.
Radio Frequency
Radio Frequency surgery for mole removal is one of the most effective options because it provides the best results and can be performed with a high degree of precision on any part of the skin. It offers virtually no scarring and quick healing time, and can be used on people of all ages.
Acne
What It Is
Acne is a very common skin concern that occurs most frequently on the face but can also develop on the neck, chest, back, shoulders, and upper arms. Acne can take many forms, which include blackheads, whiteheads, cysts, pimples, and nodules. Though acne tends to affect most teenagers in their adolescence, adult acne accounts for 20% of cases. Cases tend to be more severe in people with oily skin. This is because acne is caused when the sebum produced from the sebaceous glands plug the hair follicles on the skin. These clogged pores can develop into swollen inflammations or pimples that are tender to the touch. Acne is not a dangerous condition, but can leave acne scars and is often an unsightly, embarrassing condition.
How It’s Treated
Silk Peels
SilkPeel facials are one of the most effective ways to treat acne. SilkPeels are a microdermabrasion treatment that works by exfoliating the top layers of the skin, where it houses dead and old skin cells that can clog your pores and make you break out. By removing this top layer and exfoliating the clogged pores, your acne can be better treated because topical treatments can be better absorbed into the skin. Keeping your pores clean and exfoliated can provide major improvements in the treatment of acne because you are actively eliminating the clogged pores that can lead to further breakouts while also allowing acne treatments to penetrate the skin.
